August 2008 — Master Bond Inc, is extending its line of specialty medical device adhesives with a one part adhesive for hard to bond polyethylene and polypropylene called Master Bond X17MED. Polyolefin's are among the hardest of all plastic surfaces to bond to. Traditional polyolefin bonding products require special surface treatments in order to get good adhesion. Master Bond X17MED bonds polyolefin without any special surface preparation. Master Bond X17MED functions as a polyolefinic primer a well. The bio-compatible adhesive is simple to use and easy to apply. It is durable, water resistant and cures readily at room temperature. Master Bond X17MED polyethylene and polypropylene adhesive is USP Class VI certified.
