Printec USA, LLC, a global leader in design and manufacturing of Human Machine Interface devices, is proud to announce they have received their ITAR Registration this June 2012.
"Over the last few years, Printec has made huge strides to offer our customers more resources for their manufacturing requirements. We have bolstered our manufacturing capabilities through purchase of new equipment and increased our presence in the US through the acquisition of one of our competitors in the last year. Becoming an ITAR registered company now gives Printec another opportunity to service those customers further, that have both commercial and military requirements." Says Robert J Galvin Jr, President of Printec USA, LLC.
The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), in accordance with the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), is charged with controlling the export and temporary import of defense articles and defense services covered by the United States Munitions List (USML).
Now officially ITAR registered, Printec USA has the knowledge and understanding to fully comply with U.S. export regulations, and is enthused to fully support military and defense-related projects around the globe. Printec USA's ITAR registration is an achievement expanding and building upon the company's existing compliance controls and corporate procedures. Printec is ISO 9001 & 13485 certified, all products are RoHS compliant and Printec does comply with REACH regulations as well. With the addition of the ITAR registration to Printec's organization, the company has now raised the bar as a global leader specializing in manufacturing products in the medical, military, aerospace, homeland security, alternative energy, electronics, automotive and other industrial markets.
"The ITAR registration has positioned Printec to further service the defense market. With our significant commitment to quality and expertise in HMI technologies, Printec has now added a necessary certification to address the needs of our customers in the growing aerospace, defense and military markets in addition to our existing ISO medical procedures and other compliance programs. I view our ITAR registration as a great way to increase our opportunity to work with defense contractors and secure contract work directly with our factory, as companies with products regulated by ITAR can only work with other ITAR registered companies for those particular products."
