Sealed Air Medical Applications is a global specialist in Medical Device and Pharmaceutical packaging. Its Nexcel™ and Nelipak® brands offer superior performance in both flexible films and in custom thermoformed trays and blisters and Sealed Air will be using its presence at ComPaMed to show several innovative products and ideas.

New this year is Nexcel™ M331, a world class multilayer film specially designed for multi-chamber applications where a frangible seal is needed to allow the components to mix before being administered. This film will withstand full steam sterilization and transportation without seals breaking, but it is engineered so that it is still easy to burst the frangible seal and mix the contents in the hospital environment. As with all Nexcel™ pharmaceutical films it is fully compliant with USP, EP and JP standards and is FDA DMF registered.

In addition Sealed Air will be showing a range of Gamma and ETO sterilizable medical device flexibles including live demonstrations on a Multivac® form-fill-seal machine of the new Nexcel™ M27 thermoformable film which offers excellent processing and seal properties, all backed up by full sterilization and aging data.

For the rigid packaging business, Sealed Air Nelipak® will be exhibiting a range of cleanroom manufactured custom designed PETG trays and Tyvek® lids together with Nelipak® heat sealing machines and there will be live demonstrations of MEDI-Clear®, a new development in multi-dose compliance packaging for pharmacies and care homes.
