Polyetheretherkeytone tubing (PEEK tubing) is chemically inert, biocompatible, and is strong enough to withstand high pressure, making it suitable for medical device manufacturers to use in applications involving solvent delivery and pressure valves. PEEK tubing also offers excellent abrasion, radiation, and wear resistance, with a high strength to weight ratio so it can be processed to tiny outside diameters. This allows PEEK tubing to replace more traditional fused silica capillary tubing, and can also replace metal tubing in certain applications. PEEK tubing can operate up to 500° F, and appears light to dark amber, depending on wall thickness, with options for color stripes or crystalline (opaque) and amorphous (transparent) grades, most of which are Class VI compliant.
