Nitinol Devices & Components (NDC) is a fully integrated supplier of superelastic and shape memory Nitinol materials and components. Since our beginning in 1991, NDC has manufactured high-quality Nitinol materials (wire, tube, sheet, strip and bar stock) and Nitinol-based components for medical and commercial applications. Our products are produced in ISO 13485 series registered facilities, with in-house control of all manufacturing processes: from the drawing of precision wire and tubes - to laser cutting, expansion, and surface finishing of parts for medical devices. Our staff is composed of the world’s leading authorities (over 150 combined years of experience and knowledge) on Nitinol alloy engineering, processing, product application and design. (See Reference Materials). Together with our partner in Europe, G Rau GmbH, and ATI Wah Chang, we offer you the most complete range of Nitinol products and services. NDC was one of the first companies to develop precision laser cutting of Nitinol tubes for medical devices such as stents, filters and instruments. From 1997 to early 2008 NDC was a Johnson & Johnson company. Today NDC is a totally independent company that provides Nitinol materials, components, and services to the entire medical device industry. Materials
Surface possibilities are black and light oxide, bright polished, etched, and ground. Materials may be in the straight annealed condition, as drawn condition, or full annealed condition. Not all sizes are available in the superelastic (straightened) or as drawn condition. Typical final Af of our superelastic alloy (SE508) materials is <15C; while the final Af of our shape memory alloy (SM495) is 60-70C. NDC stocks many different sizes of wire and tube for immediate shipment. (See Stock Lists) INTRODUCING A QUANTUM LEAP IN NITINOL PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY!
NDC offers many in-house capabilities to assist you. We will work with you and your print to optimize the best way to produce the Nitinol part, from the initial prototype phase to full production. Our capabilities include:
For components that need additional manufacturing services to be completed, NDC will work with a select group of suppliers and ensure that your component is built to your quality standards. Services Let NDC put our years of Nitinol processing and design experience to work for you. NDC offers the following contract services for our customers:
NDC has published more research papers on Nitinol technology and applications than any other company. (See Reference Materials). We would like to assist you in your next Nitinol project. Quality NDC is ISO 13485:2003 certified. NDC welcomes audits from our customers and our Quality Manual is available for customers upon request. |

NDC is offering the first ever and only Nitinol continuous sheet product in the industry! Continuous Nitinol sheet is available in thicknesses from 0.003" to 0.020" and in widths up to 3.0". It can be supplied on spools or cut to length to fit your manufacturing process. Ideal for stamping, etching and laser cutting; our sheet has the tightest gage tolerances in the industry (typically ±0.0003" or better). Its smooth, light oxide surface allows for efficient processing and surface finishing.
