DME Company is an essential resource for injection mold technologies in the medical products market. Customers count on us for the best product selection, quality, expertise and support. Today, we're also helping them succeed with innovative new technologies, global product standards and more.
Our products set molding and tooling industry standards against which all others are compared. As one of the world's most comprehensive suppliers of mold technologies, DME brings outstanding quality and performance to the medical products marketplace in each of these product lines:
Hot Runner Systems
Stellar Hot Runner System, Electric Valve Gate Hot Runner System
Reduce material waste and shorten cycle time with a DME hot runner system for your injection molding process. The full spectrum of essential hot runner systems and components ranges from hot sprue bushings to complete turnkey hot halves ready to bolt on and operate. The Stellar Hot Runner System is ideal for medical product micromolding projects, offering high performance, exacting precision and flexible, cost-effective modular construction. The new EVG Electric Valve Gate Hot Runner System accommodates faster speeds and greater precision, making it particularly well suited for the high speeds and clean room requirements typical of the medical device and medical packaging market.
Quick Change Systems
Master Unit Die Quick Change Systems
Maintain high levels of precision while reducing production costs with a quick-change system from DME. The DME MUD (mold base) quick change system gives molders the ability to changeover a mold in less than five minutes (vs. 3 or more hours) to produce different parts in the same system. The system is based on an unlimited number of companion inert molds that is easily interchanged within a single MUD Quick-Change frame. The frame remains in the molding machine during mold changeovers which results in increased uptime and cost reductions.
By combining the MUD System with DME hot runner systems, you get all the time and cost savings advantages of both, making for a much more efficient molding process.
Control Systems
Simple, precise, reliable control is critical to successful injection molding. DME's full range of control products includes temperature and process controls and mold pressure sensors for a broad array of applications tied to your mold tooling.
Mold Components
Turbulent Flow Plastic Baffles
DME offers a variety of mold components that maximize the efficiency of all of your precision molding operations. Thousands of high-performance, off-the-shelf and applications-engineered solutions let customers focus on what they do best.
One of our latest solutions, Turbulent Flow Plastic Baffles, offer faster mold cooling and reduced cycle times compared to brass baffles. DME's innovative design creates turbulence within the cooling liquid, increasing heat transfer and cooling parts more quickly. The turbulent flow dissipates about three times the BTUs compared to luminar flow from traditional baffles. It also reduces "hot core" syndrome, and the improved cooling at hot-spots can help you achieve up to 20% faster cycle times.
All components are backed by rigorous quality systems and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Mold Bases and Plates
Pre-pocketed Mold Bases
DME offers the industry's most comprehensive selection of mold bases and plates. Mold base selection is critical to profitability, and for every application, there's a DME mold base to match it.
Looking to save time? Our popular DME Edge Mold Bases are now available with machined pre-pockets and top-locks leaving moldmakers only with insert installation. With DME's latest enhancement, moldmakers are able to ship products faster, require less lead time and save valuable manufacturing time. The pre-installed top locks make a significant impact to the quality of the overall product. Compared to using leader pins and bushings, they assure better alignment of the tool to meet the tightest part specifications.
Ideal for thinner parts, DME Pre-Pocketed Mold Bases allow moldmakers to create separate machined tools and then insert them into a pocketed mold base making it easier to produce molds even for the thinnest of parts.
