Dedicated in-house RF electronics development capabilities include Hardware Design, Firmware/Software Development, PCB Layout, RF Design and Embedded Antenna development, and Mechanical and Industrial Design.

Our Research & Development team has a 36-year track record of creativity and innovation in wireless electronics with a portfolio of over two dozen patents and patents pending. We have been granted patents on this wireless innovation both the United States in foreign countries around the world. This intellectual property gives us a wealth of wireless technology to draw from as we work with our OEM clients to customize purpose-built wireless electronics solutions.

Wireless Electronics - Manufacturing
Fleetwood Group's on-site wireless electronics manufacturing includes highly automated surface-mount-technology fabrication lines, and offers process capabilities in laser volumetric analysis, automated optical inspection, robotics, machine-vision systems, and automated functional testing.

Our automated electronics manufacturing processes are geared to keep us competitive in the global wireless electronics market by keeping labor cost low as a percentage of product cost. These automated electronics manufacturing processes enable us to produce over 1 million wireless electronics devices per year – with the ability to quickly scale our capacity beyond this as projects require.

And, because our electronics Engineering and electronics Manufacturing teams are co-located in our Michigan facility, Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) is an inherent part of our electronics development process.

Wireless Electronics - Certifications
We are ISO 9001:2008 certified including our product design capabilities.  We are IPC-610 certified. We have over 36 years of experience in developing and manufacturing wireless electronics. Our expertise extends across the wireless frequency spectrum, and our core competency includes embedded antenna development and optimization, battery/power management in handheld wireless devices. Our products, which we deliver to over 50 countries, carry wireless electronics product certifications from the FCC, Industry Canada, and CE in Europe. ISO 13485 certification is pending.

Our electronics manufacturing process is lead-free and RoHS compliant, and we follow WEEE protocols. You can be assured we are doing our part to deliver quality wireless electronics products that are kind to the environment.

Wireless Electronics - Delivery
Fleetwood Electronics maintains an excellent on-time delivery record. Our twelve-month cumulative delivery performance is currently better than 99.5% on-time. Since we’re based in the United States, Fleetwood Electronics can be highly responsive to your production and delivery needs.

When working with us to arrange and secure product shipments, you don’t face the many uncertainties you do with offshore suppliers. There are no language barriers, and no major issues with time zone differences. Nor are there the unexpected delays possible with marine shipments, such as weather or port congestion.

We build wireless electronics solutions for healthcare that are deployed in hospitals and medical clinics throughout the U.S. One example is a real time location system (RTLS) that tracks the location and status of healthcare providers, patients, and important diagnostic equipment.  Most of our electronics products are offered through OEMs.  We are members of LifeScience Alley, the West Michigan Medical Device Consortium, and the American Telemedicine Association.
