For over 20 years, Gradient Lens Corporation has designed, engineered, and manufactured precision optics and optical instruments. Our patented endoGRINS® gradient-index lens technology is built into our exclusive line of Hawkeye® Precision Borescopes. This innovative optical design allows Hawkeye borescopes to deliver excellent image quality at prices one-third that of comparable visual inspection instruments. Hawkeye borescopes are proudly made in the USA in Rochester, New York, the World’s Image Center®.
For more specialized applications, we also offer the advanced capability of Hawkeye Blue™ Precision Borescopes. Hawkeye Blues are constructed with precise German optics and engineering, and feature built-in prisms. The result is superb image quality and a broad range of features and applications.
Exceptional value and versatility are the hallmarks of Hawkeye, Hawkeye Blue and Luxxor Lighting and Video visual inspection products. Today, leading edge companies are using Hawkeyes to improve their products and quality, streamline their processes, and gain a competitive advantage.
At Gradient Lens Corporation, we remain committed to our core values:
- High Quality Optics, Materials & Construction . . .
- Exceptional Product Value . . .
- Fast Delivery . . .
- Quick Turnaround on Repairs.
Hawkeye Precision Borescopes allow fast, reliable visual inspection inside complex machined parts and through very small openings that could never be seen with the naked eye.

Fits Where Others Can't
At less than 73 thousandths of an inch in diameter, the MicroSlim is now the "slimmest" borescope in the Hawkeye line. This is a completely new Hawkeye utilizing our next-generation endoGRINS® lens relays.
Due to the very low dispersion of these new lenses, even a scope in this micro diameter range delivers larger, brighter images, at a lower cost , than equal diameter competitive products.
All Hawkeye MicroSlim borescopes have a 0° direction-of-view and 40° field-of-view. A rotating 90° direction-of-view is achieved by sliding a MicroSlim Mirror Tube onto the scope.
The needle-nosed Hawkeye SuperSlim Borescope is just 95 thousandths of an inch in diameter (.109 with a mirror tube). It slips through the tiniest openings to give sharp, clear views. Machinists use it to inspect very small bores for burrs and surface finish. Superior inspection means no rejects and consistently high quality, ensuring repeat business.
All Hawkeye SuperSlim borescopes have a 0° direction-of-view and 32° field-of-view. A rotating 90° direction-of-view is achieved by sliding a SuperSlim Mirror Tube onto the scope.
Luxxor Video Microscope (microscope/borescope inspection station)
Easily converts from microscope to borescope for external and internal inspection of metal machined parts, castings, or welded parts.
The new Luxxor® Video Microscope can be used both as a microscope and with a borescope. The high quality, f/4.5 zoom lens delivers sharp, close-up views of the exterior of any object placed on the microscope’s 15 inch X 10 inch table. Built-in, flexible gooseneck, LED illumination provides ample, versatile, convenient illumination. Generous column height allows viewing of objects up to 16 inches in height. Additionally, any Hawkeye® Precision Borescope, and most other borescopes, can be quickly and easily mounted with an optional adapter, allowing high-quality, close-up, internal inspection.
