Providing engineering solutions for client programs in the area of contract manufacturing and plastics injection molding since 1982, Infinity Plastics Group is a multi-facility operation located in southern Indiana. Infinity currently offers design for manufacturability guidance, tool design, and product fulfillment in addition to core disciplines of custom molding and contract assembly. Infinity serves international clientele as well as long-time domestic customers.
With two manufacturing plants on the Mt Vernon, Indiana campus, Infinity has developed a reputation for successfully engineering and launching custom programs requiring extremely high end materials, secondary assembly plus components with complex geometry and demanding tolerances. Both facilities have been ISO 13485, and 9001 registered.
The main plant, Infinity Molding & Assembly, features machines ranging in size from 30 to 610 tons. Pad printing, soft touch over-molding, insert molding utilizing both vertical and horizontal machines Secondary operations and assembly are also performed in this plant. Infinity can also provide secondary painting and plated product through local partnerships. Full tool shop with journeyman toolmakers and a quality lab are on site to provide immediate on-site support for mold repair/maintenance and quality metrics. Infinity’s engineering expertise ranges from degreed mechanical to chemical to electrical engineers on staff.
Infinity CleanRoom Solutions was completed in June 2009 and is an ISO class 7 (10,000) manufacturing plant. This 11,500 sq ft facility was the result of strategic planning begun in 2006 to consciously diversify the customer base further from traditional automotive, industrial and consumer markets that were the main base of business at that time. Capabilities at CleanRoom Solutions include custom injection molding, assembly, final pack, sterilization protocol management and fulfillment. Current product mix includes diagnostic meters and strips, surgical pump components, drug delivery components, cardio monitor assemblies, surgical accessories, optical scan product, orthopedic components and contract packaging of sterilized surgical sponges. The total electric tie-bar-less molding machines equipped with 6 axis robotics along with “on site” particle-count monitoring make this facility a strong choice for customers seeking state of the art clean room molding and manufacturing. Additionally, these machines were specified with high torque motors and high-output heater bands to give them the capability of easily processing high heat materials such as PEEK (PolyEtheEetherketone). PEEK is an organic polymer used in demanding engineering applications and is considered an advanced bio-material for use in orthopedic implants.
Finally, the true strength of Infinity comes from a veteran senior management group and strong technical staff. Infinity has brought together a team of people who have been developed through the Infinity organization and added key outside players from larger organizations. This blend of talent has made Infinity a company who understands the big picture, but reacts with the responsiveness of a smaller, more nimble organization. From initial discussion concerning design for manufacturability to a engineering design development, to program management, and program launch, our clients know they can expect quality product, delivered on time at a fair price. The ability to work as an extension of the client’s business has translated into customer relationships that currently average 14 years.
Infinity has the people and the experience to guide your next medical program to a successful launch.
