Provides medical device contract manufacturing services specializing in part design, prototyping, single- and multishot injection molding, metal stamping, fabricating, spin-stack tooling, and manual and automated assembly. The company is ISO certified and CGMP compliant with various levels of cleanliness to Class 10,000 standards.

Juno Inc. (www.junoinc.com) is a Minnesota-based, full service contract manufacturer for the medical device industry.  Juno has been in business for over 55 years and is part of the Cretex group of companies (www.cretexinc.com), a family-owned, well-capitalized business founded in 1917.  Juno’s sister companies (Cretex medical) include; RMS for implant and instrument machining (www.rmsmachining.com), Meier Tool and Engineering for micro and high-speed stamping (www.meiertool.com) and Pacific Plastics and Engineering for medical molding and assembly (www.pacificplastics.com)

As a medical contract manufacturer, Juno brings many technological capabilities to bear that enhance product value and reduce labor cost and variability wherever possible.  These capabilities include; design engineering, single and multi-shot injection molding (up to 440 ton clamp), micro-molding, reel-to-reel insert molding, stamping, fabricating, sterilization cases, decorating, testing, packaging and complete product assembly in various levels of ISO-13485 certified, controlled working environments.

New products and/or projects require strong product design-for-manufacturability capabilities.  At Juno, we take pride in our ability to look at new projects with a keen eye toward adding value and containing cost through innovation and technology.  With experienced project engineers, management staff and 2 CAD platforms (Solid Works and Pro-Engineer), Juno can take customer provided CAD models and provide quick feedback on feasibility and budgetary cost.  Cross-functional teams evaluate potential savings in your specific program considering design and production options that include multi-shot and spin stack technology where appropriate.

Juno’s molding and assembly operation houses 45,000 square feet with 32 molding machines and ISO class 7, 8 and 9 clean rooms.  Juno has been involved with multi-shot molding for 25 years and uses Spin-stack technology for faster cycle times and in-mold assembly.  Multi-shot and spin stack can reduce part numbers and cost, eliminate secondary operations, and add features such as soft touch finishes, gasketing, and sealing.  For insert molding, Juno works closely with its’ sister company, Meier Tool and Engineering (high speed micro-stamping) to micro-mold very small/close tolerance components for endoscopic medical devices.  Juno is experienced at molding virtually all engineering grade resins (filled and un-filled) including implantable grades of PEEK, Tecothane, PPSU (Radel), liquid crystal polymers (LCP), etc. in very small components and thin wall sections.

Juno’s metals operation has 55,000 square feet of workspace which includes laser cutting, turret punching, press brakes, welding, silk-screening, machining, laser marking, fabricating and assembly.  Core competencies include; metal stamping, fabricating and custom stainless steel and aluminum sterilization cases and trays.

For implantables, sterilization cases, and durable and disposable medical devices, the Juno quality process begins with receipt of your order. It’s a process of quantification, documentation, and traceability at the highest levels of compliance.

• Project quality plan defines all controls and benchmarks, and facilitates decision making

• Strict documentation systems support the Master Design Record with the following data:
