Who We Are
In 1960, a unique manufacturing company, specializing in dipped natural rubber latex tubing, by the name of Kent Latex Products, Inc., was formed. In 1979, ownership transferred to Meridian Industries, Inc. The addition of extrusion manufacturing capabilities in 1988 brought thermoplastic elastomers to a growing line of tubing products. Acknowledging its evolution into more than just a latex tubing company, in 1998, the company changed its name to Kent Elastomer Products, Inc. The acquisition of Precision Latex Products, Inc., in 2001 added to Kent's diversification and solidified their position as a major supplier of dip molded parts. In 2006, Kent again expanded its range of products when it acquired the dip molded product line from Hospira, Inc. With an established reputation of unparalleled quality and service, Kent Elastomer continues to exceed its customers' expectations for performance, timely delivery, and overall value.
Major Markets
Kent Elastomer Products serves a variety of markets worldwide including medical, dental, food/beverage, sports/recreation, laboratory, and industrial, providing products directly to OEM's or through distribution.
Services Offered
Kent Elastomer Products manufactures Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) and PVC tubing in an infinite variety of I.D.'s, O.D.'s, colors, and lengths, as well as non-latex tourniquets. Kent Elastomer is the leading manufacturer of natural rubber latex tubing and the only manufacturer still making the product in the U.S. Natural Rubber Latex Tubing is available in I.D.'s from 1/32" to 1", wall thicknesses from .015" to .250", and lengths from 1/16" to 50 ft. In addition, Kent produces an array of custom dip molded natural rubber latex and non-latex products. Kent Elastomer also offers design assistance and low-cost prototype development. With newly acquired dipping technology, equipment, and material including synthetic polyisoprene, Kent Elastomer has expanded its product offering to include bellows, neck seals, and a variety of other unique shapes and sizes.
Recently, Kent Elastomer expanded its thermoplastic elastomer tubing line with its K-9001 compound. This compound is used in peristaltic pumps where abrasion-resistance is required. This tubing is a low cost alternative to C-Flex®.
Another recent product introduction is the K-6100 PVC Replacement. This tubing meets Class VI standards and is ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10003-4 certified. Free of halogen, plasticizer, and animal derivatives, it is recommended for use in fluid storage, transportation, and delivery of fluid to the body where PVC would typically be used.
