Medical Elastomer Development is a custom molder and extruder of silicone specializing in the medical industry. All of our manufacturing operations are done in one of our three Class 100,000 Clean Rooms (ISO Class 7). MED offers Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR or LIM), Transfer, and Compression molding as well as Silicone Extrusion. Med also offers other value added operations such as cold runner automatic molding, automated visual inspection, overmolding, assembly, and pad printing. Silicone molding is done in one of our three Clean Rooms using LIM, Transfer, and Compression molding with state of the art equipment. Our presses range in size from 20 ton to 850 ton and are capable of running short runs to full 24/7 operations. We use silicone materials that are USP Class VI as well as ISO 10993.
Silicone Extrusion is done in our Clean Room as well. All of our tubing and profiles are run using a closed loop system to insure consistency and repeatability on every run. In-line cutting is also an option for parts in order to maximize value.
Quality is as important to MED as it is to you. We are ISO 9001:2008 and are committed to achieving ISO 13485 for 2011. We view our customers as partners, as one will not succeed without the other.
