We offer centerless, profile, and cylindrical grinding to .002" diameter (0.05 mm). We can produce a nearly limitless variety of shapes, tapering and other complex configurations in stainless steel, Nitinol, 17-7, and other medical wire materials. Our processes maximize productivity and repeatability for multi-tapered guidewire cores.
Assembly: Includes Sub-Assembly and Welding
We produce custom sub-assemblies to customer specifications, including guidewires, soldering, and laser welding. PWC has the experience and capacity to handle large and small orders, in both R&D and full production lots. Class 8 clean room operations are available.
Wire Processing: Includes Wire Straightening, Deburring & Radiusing, Forming, Flattening & Etching, Coating, Heat Treating/Stress Relieving, Selective Coating Removal, Cleaning & Passivating
We straighten wires with diameters starting from .002" (0.05 mm). A partial list of the wire materials we've worked with includes: 302/304V SS, Nitinol, 17-7PH, 17-4PH, Elgiloy, MP35N, Tungsten, and Platinum. Our proprietary processes ensure high torqueability and excellent grindability for small diameter guidewires. We custom cut to any length with tolerances as tight as +/- .01.
