Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) Qualifications:
As an EMS company serving the medical market segment, many Suntron customers require strict quality requirements that follow FDA-Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards defined by the FDA 21 CFR Part 820 QSR. This QSR, commonly known as GMP, forces manufacturers to implement a quality system for design, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, storage and delivery for medical devices sold within the United States.
In addition to our ISO 13485 quality standard, our GMP registration allows Suntron to ensure the highest quality level throughout our manufacturing processes. Our GMP status further enhances our ability to support our Medical OEM customers by shipping products manufactured at Suntron FDA registered facilities directly to the OEM customer's required location.

MANUFACTURING SERVICES
Suntron's four manufacturing locations provide the following services:
Suntron contributes to customers' product design by providing concurrent engineering, design for manufacturing and design for testability reviews. These reviews engage our engineering group with our customers early in the design process to reduce variation, cost and complexity to assist its customers in getting their product to market.
Prototype Manufacturing Services
We offer two locations that specialize in quick-turn manufacturing and prototype services that provide customers with 24-hour to 10-day turnaround times. These facilities are located in Methuen, Massachusetts and Phoenix, Arizona and provide full service turnkey solutions with a high degree of flexibility and customer service.
Materials Services
Our company consults with customers and their suppliers early in the component selection process, which ensures an efficient, supply stream that focuses not only on cost, but also on accountability of components and component life cycle. When material obsolescence affects its customers' designs, Suntron can provide recommendations on alternative components through its components engineering group.
Quality Control
Quality control standards are a priority in serving the needs of our customers because OEMs often rely on suppliers to assure quality control for subassemblies, rather than providing the quality control themselves. Our adherence to strict quality control standards and investment in high tech production facilities and equipment have attracted and retained priority customers who have established extremely rigid product quality standards. Suntron further compliments its offerings by providing full logistics support that allows the final assembly to be shipped directly to the customers' end customer. Manufacturing Services
Suntron's medcial manufacturing methodology is central to supporting high mix manufacturing. While typical high-volume manufacturing companies use long high-volume runs to recover costs incurred in the initial set-up for the manufacturing process, Suntron's high mix manufacturing technique focuses on parallel processing and set-up reductions in order to reduce initial set-up costs.
Testing Services
We offer in-circuit, functional and environmental test screening. These tests verify that components have been properly placed and electrical continuity exists at the proper places on the circuit card. Functional testing is performed on the in-circuit testers or separate test adapters and verifies that the board or system is in compliance with customer specifications. Environment tests determine how the product will function at various temperatures and seeks to identify and remove any latent defects that might appear later in the product life cycle.
