Shaping Innovation Across the Medical Industry

An orthopedic implant to replace a failing hip or knee. A temperature-control pad to keep patients stable during surgery. Systems to minimize infection and promote healing. These are the types of applications in which UFP Technologies plays a critical role. In the medical industry, each year brings new advances—and fresh challenges for companies like ours that bring those devices and procedures to life. Here’s how we’re meeting these challenges for many of the world’s leading medical firms.

Medical Device Packaging
We work as an extension of our customers to design and manufacture innovative specialty packaging systems for their sensitive medica devices. Our experience ranges from sterile packaging for implants and surgical tools to medical grade case solutions for endoscopes.

Medical Device Components
We help our customers innovate as they develop new products and improve existing ones. With our design knowledge and material expertise, we have created solutions such as cushioning for x-ray procedures, surgical immobilizers, tool sterilization systems, dental fluoride trays, and many more.

Orthopedics
Implants, screws, braces, positioners, and tools used in the orthopedic market must be delivered safely and improve patient comfort and quality of life. Our engineers have a 25-year history of creating orthopedic solutions that make patients’ lives better.

Wound Care
We work with our customers to improve a patient’s healing process after surgery or injury. We provide hydrophilic solutions for exudate absorption post-surgery, and negative pressure wound therapy products to safely extract fluids.

Infection Prevention
With our expertise in advanced materials manufactured with infection prevention additives, we help our customers create components and products. We have created solutions to cleanse surgical field and IV start sites, and many other specialty products.

BioPharm
We work closely with biopharmaceutical manufacturers to make their manufacturing processes safer and more efficient. Our line of branded products in this market includes BioShell®, T-Tubes®, and Tri-Covers™.
