Often times there is little concern over warm-up drift in a pressure sensor since the application can either zero out the inherent drift of the sensor after the system has reached operating temperature or the warm-up drift contribution of error is insignificant in the application. However, there are some applications that require very high accuracy and do not have the luxury of waiting for the system to warm-up prior to usage. Some of these applications would include hospital respirators, spirometry equipment and unmanned aircraft to name a few. Here, the contribution of error due to warm-up drift can be significant.
